IAS Achieves ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Recertification for AI Management Excellence

IAS Earns Annual ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Recertification for AI Management

New Delhi: Integral Ad Science (IAS), a global leader in media quality intelligence, has announced its annual recertification for ISO/IEC 42001:2023, reinforcing its commitment to responsible and transparent artificial intelligence practices.

IAS also expanded the scope of the certification to include its use of AI in its Quality Attention and Ad Fraud solutions, making it the only digital ad verification provider with accredited ISO 42001 certification.

Understanding ISO/IEC 42001

ISO/IEC 42001 is the world’s first international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). It is designed to help organizations establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve AI governance frameworks. The certification audit was conducted by Schellman, an accredited ISO 42001 certification body.

The latest recertification demonstrates IAS’s structured and transparent approach to deploying AI within its measurement products and services, assuring customers that its AI-driven solutions operate within a robust governance and risk management framework.

CEO’s Statement on AI Commitment

“Artificial Intelligence is a core pillar of IAS’s long-term data strategy, and our expanded certification reflects our high standards for responsible and ethical AI across our measurement products and services,” said Lisa Utzschneider, CEO of IAS. “Trust is a crucial key performance indicator in the modern advertising industry, and we are committed to providing our customers with transparency and independent accreditation across our AI-driven solutions.”

The Importance of ISO Certification

ISO certification is globally recognized as a benchmark of safety, quality, and reliability. The ISO/IEC 42001 standards cover a wide range of requirements relevant to AI management systems, including:

  • Organizational strategy
  • AI governance
  • Risk management
  • Data privacy
  • Responsible AI development and deployment practices
  • Data quality monitoring
  • Human rights and fairness
  • Environmental considerations
  • Human oversight over AI systems

Additional Certifications

In addition to ISO 42001 certification, IAS was an early recipient of TrustArc’s Responsible AI certification and was the first company to receive Ethical AI certification from The Alliance for Audited Media, positioning it uniquely within the global digital advertising ecosystem.

Leveraging AI for Actionable Insights

IAS leverages AI to deliver actionable insights by analyzing an extensive dataset, capturing and processing more than 280 billion transactions daily across impressions in real time. In December 2025, the company introduced IAS Agent, an AI-powered assistant built on the principle of “explainable AI,” backed by over 15 years of proprietary IAS insights and designed to provide transparency into every recommendation.

Conclusion

With its expanded ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, IAS continues to underscore its leadership in responsible AI governance, setting a benchmark for trust and accountability in the evolving digital advertising landscape.
