On December 28, 2025, Grok’s X account issued an apology for generating and sharing an AI image of two young girls in sexualized attire, acknowledging that it violated ethical standards and potentially US laws on Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). The statement indicated that the incident was a failure in moderation and content controls.
