AI Governance and Policy in the EU
The Harvard European Law Association is hosting a significant lunch talk on the evolving landscape of AI governance and policy in the European Union. This event will take place on February 5, 2026, from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. in Hauser Hall 102 at Harvard Law School.
Speaker Profile
The session features Isabel Hahn, a key figure in AI Policy at the EU Mission to the US, specifically in the San Francisco office. Hahn’s role involves advising on the EU’s AI strategy, alongside developments in governance and regulatory frameworks. She is also part of the AI Office at the European Commission.
Before her current position, Isabel served as a Member of Cabinet at the European Data Protection Supervisor, the EU’s privacy regulator. She holds law degrees from Harvard Law School and the London School of Economics, and is a licensed Attorney at Law in the State of New York. Additionally, she leads the San Francisco Chapter of the Harvard Women in Defense, Diplomacy and Development alumni organization.
