New Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI

Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has introduced the Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI, a significant update announced by Minister Josephine Teo at the World Economic Forum on January 22, 2026. This framework builds upon the 2020 Model AI Governance Framework and specifically addresses agentic AI—systems capable of reasoning and acting autonomously on behalf of users.
